BrandUP Interactive has been contracted by its client to re-develop a cutting edge SaaS platform currently servicing high profile clients such as Apple, the BBC, Red Bull and Nike, with over 100TB of content delivered through the existing platform over the last 6 months.

 Our mission? To redevelop, streamline, automate, and deliver a fully scalable platform supporting delivery, formatting and storage of up to 100’s of Terabytes DAILY to be used by Fortune 500 companies. We are looking for the best and brightest programmers, hackers and warrior code poets, to embark on a 2 month intensive build program to deliver a monument in user experience. Led by an experienced UK Apple Designer, we will be deploying latest technology and looking to set future design trends.

You will be working in a highly motivated, performance driven environment favoring personal communication, collaboration and support; over documentation, hierarchy and isolation. Using agile management principles, performance bonuses and team building, we are looking to create the ideal environment, driven by the challenge of a life time.

Ideal Candidate

You’ll need to be an all-rounder, passionate programmer with at least 3 years of professional experience, but we care more about capabilities than experience.

This is an opportunity to work on the heart of our product experience. You should be fanatically passionate about the web, and ready to stand for the principles you believe in while being hungry to learn more about the new technologies and practices in web development.

The Team strongly values the relationship between our agency disciplines. We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to talk design with designers, or get involved with the server side components of sites.

Post Description

You will be designing and managing the architecture of a complex platform. Your role is to develop a modular and optimized enterprise application that will be used as a SaaS in a world wide environment. You’ll be using highly optimized databases like MongoDB or CouchDB, ORM libraries, unit testing, best design patterns and optimization techniques to power a demanding server-client application.

What we need:

• Expert knowledge of PHP5 and PHP5.3
• Expert knowledge of Symfony, Zend or similar frameworks
• Expert knowledge of MySQL/Mongo DB
• Expert knowledge of Design Patterns and Anti-Patterns and Refactoring Techniques 
• Experience with a Dependency Injection Containers
• Experience with an ORM: Propel, Doctrine 2
• Experience with a templating system: Twig, Smarty
• Very good problem solving abilites and good algorithmic skills

Is a plus:

• Knowledge of Javascript
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
• Knowledge of Git and SVN
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with product development life cycles
• Have contributed to open source projects
• Good spoken and written English

Salary Details:

• Minimum 1,500 euros net per month and over, depending on experience and suitability
• Project duration is over 2 months
• Completion bonus at end of project
• Opportunity for permanent position post project
